Using C1, A asks the same question but B answers with the antonym.
Thí dụ:

C 3
A makes a statement regarding the character of an activity. B says that anh Nam does the same thing but more intensely.

A:  Anh ấy nói chậm lắm.
B:  Nhưng anh Nam nói chậm hơn anh ấy.

A makes a statement. B states a preference for some other thing (the cue).

A makes a statement. B reponds with a question to which A makes up an answer.

1- Los Angeles is bigger than San Francisco, isn't it?
  • Yes, Los Angeles is a bit bigger than San Francisco.
  • Would you prefer to live in Los Angeles or San Francisco?
  • I'd prefer to live in San Jose because San Jose is smaller and newer.
  • Furthermore, it has more Vietnamese people.
2- So you live in Canberra do you?
  • Yes, I live in there because I work in the Ministry of Health.
  • How do you like Canberra?
  • I like to live in Canberra because it's quieter and prettier than Sydney, but I like to go to Sydney for fun.
  • It's lucky you like living in Canberra, since you work there. As for me, I prefer to live in Sydney because it's more fun and the Vietnamese restaurants in Sydney are better.
3- According to you, what movie should I see?
  • It's up to you, but I think you should see this movie.   This one is shorter but newer, has better music, better and younger cast (diễn viên), and because of that it's more interesting.
  • You speak too fast. Please speak more slowly.
4- Which city is the biggest city in Viet Nam?
  • Saigon is the biggest city in Viet Nam.
  • Which city is the most beautiful in Viet Nam?
  • Perhaps Hue is.

Sue:

 I'm about to go to Vietnam for a few weeks.   According to you, what hotel should
I stay at?
Greg: Do you intend to stay in Hanoi or Saigon?
Sue: I'll stay in Hanoi about a week, then go down to Saigon.
Greg: According to me, in Hanoi you should stay at the Thong Nhat Hotel.
Sue: I hear that the Thang Loi Hotel is newer, bigger, and because it's on the banks of West Lake the scenery is more beautiful.
Greg: That's right, the Thang Loi is newer, more spacious and has prettier scenery, but it's farther from the center of town. Public communication in Hanoi is not very good, and because of that it's more convenient to stay at the Thong Nhat. Morever, the food at the Thong Nhat is better.
Sue:

 Yeah, maybe I'll stay at the Thong Nhat.   So what hotel in Saigon do you think is
best?
Greg: Saigon has quite a few good hotels.  But I like to stay at the Quoc Te Hotel best.That's the biggest and prettiest hotel in Saigon. 
Sue: But it's also the most expensive, isn't it, Greg?
Greg:

 Naturally, but the food and the wine there are the best, and the waitresses
there are the prettiest.
Sue: I'm going to Saigon with my husband: maybe we'll stay at another cheaper hotel.
