Lien: Hello, Ed.  How goes it? Are you well?
Ed: Hello (sister).  Thanks, I'm very well.  And how about you?
Lien:

I was tired yesterday, but now I'm fine. It's very cold ! Denver is always cold like this, isn't it?
Ed: Yes, but today it's sunny and warm, don't you think?
Lien: Yes, it's sunny and warm, but I still feel cold .
Ed: Where were you born?
Lien: I was born in Nha trang.  Northern Vietnam is also cold like this, but Nha trang is in the South and it's usually hot.
Ed: Yes, I've been in Nha trang already, so I know.
Lien: Really? When were you in Nha trang?
Ed:  I came (there) in May of 1987.
Lien: What did you think of Nhatrang?
Ed: Oh, very pretty.  Nha trang is very beautiful.  The weather is beautiful, the sea is beautiful, and the girls are also very beautiful.
Lien:

Thank you (but) you give too much praise! Oh, so when did you return to America?
Ed:

I came back on the 15th of July 1989.  And you, when did you come to the United States? I did not expect to meet a Nha trang girl in Denver.
Lien:

I've been in America for nine months already.  Perhaps next year I'll move to San Antonio because here it's cold.
