Setting Thai font for Internet Explorer V.5

When you visit Thai news websites your browser might automatically display Thai properly.  If your computer has no Thai font, it might ask you to download one.  In some cases you might have to set the Thai font in Internet Explorer manually.  You can try one of the following methods:

Method 1:

1. click Tools menu, then click Internet Options

2. click the General tab, then click Fonts

3. select Language Script as Thai

4. under Web page font select a Thai Font such as Cordia New or Fixed DB Thai.  If you don't have a standard Thai font on your computer, you will have to obtain one and install it.

5. click OK button

6. click the View menu, then Encoding, and then use the mouse to select "Thai [Windows]"

Method 2:

1. Click right mouse on a document that should display in Thai.

2. Click on Encoding, then click "Thai [Windows]"

3. The Thai ducument will display after you set this.

When you want to go back and read Thai in SEAsite or you want to restore the normal fonts for viewing regualr documents:

1. Click the right mouse on a regular or SEAsite Thai document.

2. Drag mouse to Encoding, then click "Western"

3. The document will use the normal font, but SEAsite Thai pages will display in Thai.
