Every time another zero is added on Thai has a new term for that number until a million is reached. In English, on the other hand, there is a new term until a thousand is reached; then one counts by thousands until a million is reached. There is nothing complicated about the Thai system--it is actually simpler than the English one--and a little practice will make you feel quite at home with it.
