Basic Sentences

อรุณ	แหม วันนี้อากาศดีจัง
	My, it's a fine day today.
สะอาด	ค่ะ และคุณไม่ต้องไปทำงาน ผมรู้สึกดีใจมาก
	Yes, and you don't have to go to work--that makes me very happy ('I feel very glad').
สังเกต	ผมก็เหมือนกันแหละครับ อาทิตย์หนึ่งก็เห็น คุณพ่ออยู่บ้านวันหนึ่งเท่านั้น
	Me, too. You stay home only one day a week.
อรุณ	เอ..วันนี้เราตั้งใจว่าจะตัดหญ้าที่สนามหน้าบ้าน และทำสวนกันใช่ไหมสังเกต หญ้าที่หน้าบ้าน งอกสูงแล้วดูไม่งามเลย
	By the way, sa4Nke$ּd, we intended to cut the grass on the front lawn and work in garden, didn't we? The grass in front of the house has gotten tall; it doesn't look [very] nice.
สังเกต	ครับผม พร้อมแล้ว จะไปเมื่อไหร่ก็ได้ผมอยาก จะปลูกกุหลาบที่หลังบ้านสักสองสามต้นด้วย
	Yes, I'm ready--we can go any time. I want to plant two or three roses back of the house, too.

	Not so fast! Wait and eat breakfast first and then go.
สังเกต	เราจะเริ่มกันที่ไหนดีครับ จะเริ่มตัดหญ้าที่ สนามหน้าบ้านหรือถอนหญ้าที่ในสวน
	Where's the best place to start? Shall we start cutting the grass on the front lawn or pulling weeds ('grass') in the garden?
อรุณ	เราไปที่ในสวนกันก่อนดีกว่า จะได้ดูดอกไม้ ด้วยว่าดอกอะไรบานบ้างแล้วหรือไม่
	Let's go to the garden first--we can look at the flowers, too, and see whether any of them are blooming or not.
สังเกต	ดูดอกกุหลาบสีชมพูสิครับบานแล้ว และมี กลิ่นหอมดีด้วย
	Look at the pink roses! They're already blooming and they're very fragrant, too ('have a very fragrant odor, too').
อรุณ	จริงสิ ก่อนเข้าบ้าน คุณควรจะเก็บไปบ้างแล้ว ปักไว้ในแจกัน
	Yes, they are; before you go in the house you should pick some and put them in a vase.

	Look! There's our neighbor, khun sa4mríd, standing by the fence near that big tree on the left.

	Oh, so it is; and there's his big dog, too. Hello there, sa4mríd.

	I'm fine.
อรุณ	คุณออกมาทำสวนหรือชมสวนของคุณครับ
	Did you come out to work in the garden or to admire it?
สัมฤทธิ์	ชมสวนครับ เวลาเช้าผมชอบออกมาที่นี่ถ้า ไม่ต้องทำงานอากาศสดชื่นดี ดูต้นไม้และ ฟังนกร้องรู้สึกพอใจ
	To admire it. I like to come out here in the morning if I don't have to go to work. The air's refreshing [and when I] look at the trees and listen to the birds singing, I feel content.
สังเกต	ผมเห็นคุณเอาหมามาด้วย แต่ไม่เห็นแมว มันไปไหนครับ
	I see you brought your dog out with you, but I don't see your cat. Where is it?
สัมฤทธิ์	อ๋อ...แมวมันขี้เกียจ มันชอบนอนในบ้าน เวลาเช้า พอสายหน่อยบางทีมันจะออกมา พยายามจับนก แต่หมาตัวนี้มันตามผมเสมอ เช้าวันนี้คุณจะทำสวนหรือครับ
	Oh, the cat's lazy--it likes to sleep in the house in the morning. A little later on maybe it'll come out and try to catch a bird. But this dog [of mine] follows me around all the time. Are you going to work in the garden this morning?
อรุณ	ครับ เราตั้งใจจะถอนหญ้าในสวนและตัด กิ่งไม้ สังเกตจะปลูกต้นกุหลาบและทาสีรั้ว ด้วย
	Yes; we intend to pull the weeds in the garden and prune the trees ('cut the dead branches'). sa4Nke$ּd wants to plant some roses and paint the fence, too.
สัมฤทธิ์	ทีแรกผมตั้งใจจะทำสวนเหมือนกัน แต่เมื่อ คืนสำอางค์ ภรรยาของผมพูดโทรศัพท์กับ พ่อเขาที่อยู่ที่ธนบุรี และพ่อเขาชวนให้เรา พาลูกคนเล็กไปเที่ยวที่บ้านของท่าน
	At first I intended to work in the garden, too, but last night sa4Nke$ּd, my wife, talked over the telephone with her father, who lives in Thonburi, and her father invited us to take the baby and go over to his house.
อรุณ	คุณจะไปกันเมื่อไหร่ล่ะครับ
	When are you going?
สัมฤทธิ์	พอสำอางค์จัดแจงอะไรในบ้านเรียบร้อย แล้ว เราก็จะออกเดินทางทันที
	We'll go just as soon as sa4Nke$ּd has straightened up the house ('has arranged things neatly in the house').
