Point 3. The word ha$ּN
Although the word ha$ּN is usually best translated 'far' in examples like the one above, its literal meaning is 'apart, away from'. Take care not to confuse ha$ּN with klaj whose meaning is 'to be far, far away'. Whenever you are speaking of the distance from one place to another, you are talking about how far apart the two places are; in such cases you always use ha$ּN in Thai.
