สมชาย	เราจะไปที่ไหนกันครับ ธนาคารหรือโรงไปรษณีย์
	Where'll we go first, the bank or the post office?
จรัส	ถ้าเราไปทางนี้ เราจะถึงธนาคารกัน  เพราะฉะนั้น เราหยุดที่นั่นกันสิครับ
	If we go this way, we'll come to the bank first; so we [might as well] stop there first.
	ผมอยากจะฝากเงินห้าสิบบาทและจะขึ้นเชคที่ คุณประสานให้มาวานซืนนี้ คุณละครับ
	I want to deposit fifty baht and to cash the check pra$sa4ּn gave me day before yesterday. How about you?
สมชาย	ผมจะเบิกเงินสักสามสิบบาทเท่านั้นครับ เดี๋ยวนี้ผม ไม่มีเงินติดตัวเลย
	I'll draw out thirty baht. I don't have any money at all with me right now.
จรัส	คุณเห็นจะฝากเงินส่วนมากไว้ที่คลังออมสิน ใช่ไหมครับ
	You probably keep most of your money on deposit at the savings bank, don't you?
สมชาย	เงินส่วนมากของผม จริงครับแต่เงินส่วนมากของ ผมไม่มากเลย
	Most of my money, yes. But most of my money isn't much.
จรัส	ถึงไม่มาก ก็คงจะมากกว่าของผม
	Even if it isn't much, it's bound to be more than I've got.
สมชาย	เราไปคอยกันที่แถวโน้นไหมครับมีคนน้อย
	Shall we go wait in the line over there--there aren't many people.
จรัส	ครับ
	Yes.
สมชาย	ผมอยากจะฝากเงินสักห้าสิบบาทครับ นี่ครับ ใบฝากเงิน
	I want to deposit fifty baht. Here's the deposit slip.
พนักงานธนาคาร	สมุดฝากบัญชีละครับ
	And your deposit book?
สมชาย	นี่ครับ ผมต้องการขึ้นเชคนี่ด้วยครับ
	Here it is. I want to cash this check, too.
จรัส	ผมต้องการเบิกเงินสักสามสิบบาทครับ นี่ครับ ใบเบิกเงิน
	I want to take out thirty baht. Here's the withdrawal slip.
พนักงานธนาคาร	คุณมีบัญชีที่นี่หรือครับ
	Do you have an account here?
จรัส	ครับ
	Yes.
สมชาย	โรงไปรษณีย์อยู่ห่างจากที่นี่สักเท่าไหร่ครับ
	How far is it to the post office from here?
จรัส	ราวครึ่งไมล์ครับ มาถึงแล้วครับ เข้าไปกันเถอะ
	About half a mile. Here we are--let's go in!
สมชาย	ผมอยากจะซื้อแสตมป์ดวงละสิบสตางค์สักห้า ดวงครับ
	I want to buy five ten-satang stamps.
เจ้าหน้าที่ไปรษณีย์	อะไรอีกละครับ
	Anything else?
สมชาย	ไปรษณียบัตรสามสตางค์สักสิบใบครับ เท่านั้นครับ
	Ten three-satang postcards. That's all.
จรัส	ผมอยากจะส่งห่อนี้ทางพัสดุครับ ของในห่อเป็น แก้วโปรดประทับตราบอกว่า "ระวังของแตก"
	I want to send this package by parcel post. The things in the package are glass.    Please stamp it: Handle with care! ('Be careful, breakable articles!')
เจ้าหน้าที่ไปรษณีย์	ได้ครับ สิบห้าสตางค์ครับ
	O.K. Fifteen satang.
จรัส	และผมอยากส่งเงินทางธนาณัติด้วยครับ
	And I want to send a money order, too.
เจ้าหน้าที่ไปรษณีย์	ส่งไปไหนครับ
	Where to?
จรัส	ผมอยากจะส่งไปยัง นายทองอยู่ ทายเจริญ  บ้านเลขที่สองร้อยสาม ถนนเวียงจัน  จังหวัดเชียงใหม่
	I want to send it to Mr. thOּNju$ּ thajca$rəּn, No. 203 wiaNcan Street, Chiangmai.
เจ้าหน้าที่ไปรษณีย์	จะส่งเงินเท่าไรครับ
	How much do you want to send?
จรัส	สิบบาทครับ
	Ten baht.
เจ้าหน้าที่ไปรษณีย์	เสร็จแล้วครับ นี่ใบรับเงินของคุณ
	There you are--[and] here's your receipt.
จรัส	ผมต้องการซื้อซองที่ติดแสตมป์สิบสตางค์สัก  สิบซองด้วยครับ
	I want ten ten-satang stamped envelopes, too.
เจ้าหน้าที่ไปรษณีย์	นี่ครับ
	Here you are.
จรัส	และผมอยากส่งจดหมายฉบับนี้ทางไปรษณีย์  อากาศจดทะเบียน
	And I want to send this letter by registered air mail.
เจ้าหน้าที่ไปรษณีย์	ได้ครับ
