Luang Prabang in the 19th and Early 20th Century

Situated along the Mekong River in northern Lao P.D.R., Luang Prabang is one of Asia's most pristine ancient capitals.  Recognized for its unique cultural and natural heritage, Luang Prabang was designated as a World Heritage Site in 1995.
