41. The Strike to Langka

Rahwana had ordered his giant soldiers to guard the coasts of Langka. Since Hanuman had escaped from Langka, Rahwana suspected that at any time Rama and his troops would come and strike Langkapura.

The giant soldiers noticed the construction of the bridge. It came closer and closer to their beaches. They saw that there were tens of thousands of monkeys busy constructing the bridge.

The giant soldiers paddled out in their boats and attacked the monkey troops. But the monkey troops were more skilled in fighting, and the giants were defeated by them.

Then, all of the Rama's troops crossed the over the ocean using the strong stone bridge. All of the ocean creatures were ordered by Lord Baruna to guard the foundation of the bridge so that all of the Rama's troops could arrive safely at Langkapura.
