32. Hanuman Duta
|After receiving King
Sugriwa's order, the Kiskenda troops started travelling in all directions. Every cliff was
searched to see if Sita was hidden there by the King of Giants, Rahwana. Every
mountain was climbed, and all of the bushes were searched. They went into the caves,
traveled through villages, and walked along beaches.
However, their effort was fruitless. They finally returned to Kiskenda without any results. Sugriwa remembered that there was an island located to the south. That island had to be searched, since there was a possibility that Rahwana had hidden Sita there.
Hanuman was asked by Sugriwa to fulfill the duty of searching the island, particularly to see whether Rahwana could be found there. Sugriwa was sure that Hanuman could fulfil that obligation.
