"If you have strong students at the rank of junior or above, including graduate students, please recommend this workshop to them if they have any interests in graduate opportunities abroad, including teaching English, research, or study.  For language majors, or Latin American Studies or Southeast Asian Studies minors, or International Studies minors, the English Language Teaching Assistantships can be a particularly great way to spend a year abroad after one's senior year. For those at the master's or doctoral levels, the Student Fulbright can be an excellent pathway to research abroad.  The competition for Student Fulbright awards for 2010/2011 opens on May 1, 2009, so we’re getting a great head start.  

"The competition is open to US citizens, and it's quite competitive. Undergrads with GPAs of 3.5 or above, and grads around 3.7 have typically done well.  Ultimately, in my experience, solid writing (founded in solid and creative thinking) is the most important ability of a competitive applicant."

Hand these (AB 2.1,2.2,2.3,2.6,2.7) in on Wednesday -- you can print off AB 2.4 & 2.5, also 2.8 & 2.9, to hand in the next day.
