READING

You will read this word ekac\;ekac\; as [kàun kàun] when you are reading as it is written, but it is sometimes read or said [kàun gàun] and sometimes [kàun ngàun].  Notice that the consonant [k] that follows the nasalized dipthong changes to the nasalized consonant [ng].  Nasalization of the consonant following after a nasalized vowel usually occurs when a speaker says a word fast.
