WRITING

Here are some loan-words written with the nasalized dipthong    ိုင် [ain].

ဖိုင်နယ် final(Eng)
မော်တော်ဆိုင်ကယ် motor cycle (Eng)
ပရိုင်းမိတ် primate (Eng)
ကွိုင် coil(Eng)
စပိုင် spy (Eng)

In writing some loan-words from Pali language,  ိုဏ် is used in stead of  ိုင်  [ain] to be closer to the original spelling. e.g: ဂိုဏ်း [sect]

READING

You will read this word အပိုင်းပိုင်း as [á pàin pàin] when you are reading as it is written, but it is sometimes read or said [â pàin bàin] and sometimes [à pàin màin].  Notice that the consonant [p] that follows the nasalized dipthong changes to the nasalized consonant [m].  Nasalization of the consonant following after a nasalized vowel usually occurs when a speaker says a word fast.
