Introduction
Maanii Book II is the continuation of Book I. We tried to keep the structure as close to Book I as best we could. However, some minor changes were made to make it more user-friendly. We welcome your comments and/or suggestion.
The Structure of Book II
Like Maanii Book I, each lesson
of this book begins with the story. On this page there are two choices of sounds
provided. You can click on
to listen to the whole story or on
to listen to a particular sentence.
The new option added to the story page is the pop-up vocabulary. When you place your mouse on a word, the
English meaning will pop up; and when you click on it, the pronunciation of the word will
be heard. You can still see the whole vocabulary page of each page by clicking at
"vocabulary" of that particular lesson. We hope this new addition will be
beneficial for your vocabulary study.
Another addition is the "Structure
& Grammar" page which is separated from the "Drills &
Practices" page. This, we believe, will be more suitable to learners'
purposes. The page is prepared to help learners with some new structure and/or
grammar introduced in that lesson. Simply click on
, and you'll hear the sound of each sample
sentence.
As in Maanii Book I, the "Drills and Practices" page consists of various exercises to review both the story and new structures learned. Four kinds of quizzes are used: set of three quizzes, e-mail quizzes, flash cards, and matching quizzes.
