Camiguin Island


Camiguin a Tropical Island Paradise in Asia and a unique combination of unspoiled beauty and old world charm. Often described as the most beautiful island in the Philippines.

Camiguin is a place of contrast. Rugged, majestic volcanic mountains rise sharply to the clouds, while gentle turquoise seas lap soft while sands. Waterfalls thunder down into natural pools sorrounded by wild ferns and orchids. The island has a pristine lagoon, refreshing cold springs, invigorating hot springs and soothing, sparkling soda springs.

Camiguin is a pear-shape volcanic island lying in the Bohol Sea some 54 kilometers southeast of Chocolate Hills and 90 kms. north of Cagayan de Oro airport; 120 kms. southeast of Mactan International Airport, and 10 kms. north of Misamis Oriental.

Composed of 5 municipalities namely: Mambajao (Capital town), Catarman, Sagay, Guinsiliban and Mahinog, Camiguin has two other attractive islets better known as White Island and Mantigue Island. Each of these has unique endowments.
