Monday Meeting Minutes

January 28, 2004

5:00-5:50 pm, HSC 403

Attendance: Jason, Maggie, Soveacha, Dom, Carolina, Lee, Tia, Lyndy, Jenn

All Southeast Asia Night: 2/27

-         Singer from Tagalog class will sing

-         Chandra’s sister will do food – we will need volunteers to help cook

-         Jason: confirm the Newman center and the Lutheran place for our two remaining nights

-         Jason: talk to Anne Parsons about doing a museum table

-         MC = Tia

-         Lee: talk to the Lao dancers – confirm with them and set a price

-         Soveacha will sing – bring music to the next meeting so we can find someone to play the accompaniment

-         Lyndy: solidify the Burmese act; secure the food; wait to hear from Dini’s son

-         Jason: talk to the Malay dancers

-         Jason: A/V stuff – everyone must tell Jason ASAP what A/V equipment they need for their act (so far: tape, cd, mic)

Conference: 2/28

-         Dom: check about the percentage of SEA content needed in the papers; continue working on the room

-         Lee: programs

-         If there are enough papers, depending on the room situation, we can split into two rooms and run two panels at once

Film Festival:

-         we are planning to show Nang Nak (a famous Thai ghost story) on Thursday, April 8
