Monday Meeting Minutes

September 20, 2004

5:00-6:00 pm, HSC 503

Attendance: Dom, Krissy, Mary, Carolina, Mishel, Luke, Kristen, Jenn

Dom: finish officer change forms

The Organization Expo this year was a waste of time.

Dr. Raymond needs volunteers Friday to help move the Burma collection back into the museum starting at 10:00am.

PAISA update: Luke

-         their first meeting is 9/22 at 7pm but Luke has class, is anyone else available?

Kristen will go to the SA treasurer meeting this week and Carolina will go to the SA organizational meeting next week.

Krissy: set up graduate thesis/dissertation workshop

Dom: link COTS web site and schedule to the Club site

Jenn: give Dom gamelan contact information; ask Nancy to take food orders for Indonesia Night

Philippine Night will now be held on April 22.  The venue is in the process of being set. 

Mary is looking into the Field House as a venue for culture nights.

Indonesia Night: 10/8

-         Carolina will not be there

-         Dom: talk to Ann Parsons; order utensils and napkins; check on soda/drinks; order A/V equipment: microphone and speakers

-         Mary: bring CD player

-         Jenn & Carolina: do flyer and have it for next week’s meeting for posting

-         Mary & Krissy: get table cloths, food boxes, and trash bags

-         Food: Mary is working on it with Elvi; the price charged will be $6, $5 for Club member and includes one drink

-         Pak Ngurah is not available to do anything and neither are Dan and Sara

-         Acts: Indonesian dancing; Dom’s wayang; gamelan; trivia with possible prizes; MC = Anise?

-         Mary is meeting with the Indonesian folks this week to firm up the schedule
