Monday Meeting Minutes

October 27, 2003

6:00-7:00 pm, HSC 403

Attendance: Jason, Lyndy, Maggie, Tia, Yolanda, Kashfi, Tyler, Luke, Lee, Carolina, Bunthoeun, Dom, Michael, Iris, Jenn

Indonesia Night:

-         Great job everyone!

-         Thank you Tia!

Conference:

-         voted and ranked possible keynote speakers

COTS 11/8:

-         we are taking two minivans

-         so far we have 16 people going

-         meet at 6:15am in the small Stevens Building parking lot

-         we will have extra cars available in case we all don’t fit

Philippine Night 11/21:

-         we are not having the professional group

-         instead we will do individual acts

-         we should mix meetings and/or people with the PSA

-         Mary: ask the Philippine Consulate about performer contacts

-         Flyers: this time make more (200)

-         Jenn to meet with Anne (PSA president) tonight at 7:00pm

-         Dom: keep looking for the stick fighters

-         Jenn: get contact information from Dr. Han for the Philippine group from last year

Announcements:

-         AAA, PSA, VSA Halloween party on Thursday (10/30) at Rosemary at 9:00pm; discounts with costume

-         Free conversational Vietnamese class conducted by volunteers from the VSA held the first Tuesday of every month: next meeting on 11/11 in HSC 406 at 8:00pm
