Kartun ini menggambarkan cara-cara lama (terutama semasa rejim Orde Baru) untuk menyebutkan sumber-sumber konflik dan kekerasan sosial di Indonesia, yaitu dengan menumpahkan problem pada adanya provokator (dan dalang). Kecendrungan ini muncul lagi ketika terjadi konflik sosial di Ambon, Sambas, maupun daerah lainnya.
