Indonesian Dictionary
Instructions:
1. Look up single words only: "di" and "atas" not "di atas"
2. In some cases the word you type in may result in two or more possible words. You will be shown the alternatives and be asked to choose the one you want by typing it in.
Example 1: if you type in katakan the dictionary will ask you if you want katak or kata The dictionary is not smart enough to know that the root of katakan is not katak.
Example 2: capai actually has two meanings - tired and to reach. You will be asked to type in capai1 or capai2 to get complete information on the one you want.
3. On some computers, you will have to use the scroll bars to see the left-most part of some text areas, or to see the top most lines.
4. After you have looked up some words, you can choose to click "Print Word List As Web Page". This may not work with all browsers - it has been tested with Netscape and Internet Explorer. When you click this button, you will see a page in your browser listing all the words you have looked up this session, with their definitions and other information. (You can even click a button to hear the word pronounced.) If you wish, you can the click on your browser's print button, and this information will be printed for you.
After you have finished looking at this page, you can go back to the dictionary page. The way that you do this may differ from browser to browser. For example, you may need to click on the window's close button (the "X" in the extreme upper right corner for Windows 95) or you may need to click on the browser's Back button.
