Stacking Consonants

Stacking the consonant scripts is common in writing out the loanwords from Sanskrit and Pali language closely to the original spelling. {mc\gla} in {mc\glapf} is spelled {mgClapf} with ngatha {c\}on top of the following consonat g. Since the stacking is restricted to the members of the same groups, you will learn here group by group.

The first group, as you have learned in the beginning of this course, consists of five characters:

The word yk\K meaning "ogre" is stacked yk( .

The word mg\g meaning "path" is stacked mg) .

The word Ang\G meaning "priceless" is stacked AngG.

The word lc\ka meaning "verse" is stacked lkCa .

The word qc\Kja meaning "maths" is stacked qKjCa .

The word Ac\;glip\ meaning "English" is stacked AgClip\.

The word qc\Ga meaning "monk" is stacked qGCa .
