Use the different form of "yè chá " { f  } for certain consonants to avoid the confusion with the other consonants. For example, if you use the short "yè chá" {a} with the consonant [w] {w} it could be misread as the consonant script [t] {t } "tá wùn bu". Therfore you write {wf } using the tall yè chá { f }thus avoiding the possible confusion. Listen how to spell out and read the combination of consonants and [a] vowel.
